Community Members and Founding Donors attended the Phoenix Foundation Community Social/20th Anniversary on October 11 in Grand Forks. Attendees were able to take a look at displays of this years grantees who were in attendance, hear from founding Donor Cathy Manson about the vision and the journey of getting the Foundation started 20 years ago.
Stacey Cassidy, Youth advocate spoke on how to engage and connect with today’s youth and the fallacy that they don’t want to be involved, they just want to be asked.
To end the evening, Gary Smith, President of the Foundation led a Community Conversation to help the Foundation understand what community members feel the areas pressing issues are and what we can do about them
